One of my original spotlight lamps finally burnt out after 10 years and I was wondering what you guys are using for replacement lamps? The original lamp was a Wagner #4443 but they are no longer available. I want to stick with a 12.8 volt 30 watt bulb, but I also don't want to spend alot on them like with Adjure's. I'm going to replace both lamps, any suggestions? TIA
Here's a shot of the old spotlamp I need to replace. I also want to stick with a 12.8 volt 30 watt bulb. Does Sylvania or anyone else make a direct replacement bulb for the old discontinued Wagner 4443? Notice the slip on terminals, it would be nice if the replacement lamps also had slip on not just screw on, (these lamps came with both type connections) so I could still use the factory slip on type connectors.
I just called Sound Harley and their parts guy said they no longer sell a replacement lamp for these older style spotlights. He said they sell an upgrade kit so I can run the newer style and brighter lights for around $70, but that's not my preference. Sooooo, my search continues.
Here's what some others did back in 05, just read through it and it tells U how.
03 Road King and the 4416's are not the right lamp. Believe me, I wish they had been. I ordered a Wagner 4449 from O'rielly Auto (local store) and it was $32.00. The 4416's were $6.29 each. The 4416's will work if you cut and put O type connectors on the wires, that way they could screw onto the lamp. HD offers their 05 conversion kit (which I undertstand uses H3 bulbs) for $67.00 and they come with the bulbs. Different guys here have said it is easy to replace the H3's, just cut the rubber boot, replace and use silicone to seal. I'll find out how good they are the next time a lamp goes out. If you can get them at the dealer for $22.00, I guess I screwed myself. Oh well I still respect me.
Thanks for the info 49. I was PM'd an Ebay link that had what I was looking for. I'm buying a few extras too as they are getting harder to come by.
