Default Anyone using an AME Chopper Kit ????

Who all out there is using an AME chopper kit ??
I have a 6 degree rake tree now but want to go to 18 , AME are the only ones that seem to do it ,it's a German standard better than DOT and supposedly they have special cups built into their system that make it ride as good as stock ?
But their kit is $1700 for 4"over tubes and trees with a brake cable !
I emailed them and said I have the 4" over Tubes and everything ells I need, they said they will take $200 off ,$1500 for Trees??
Anybody have info or experience with this subject??
Should I copy this thread in the Dyna section as well ?
Joe

BigDady's pop is running one... he's had it on for well over a year now. I got to help with the install, and I can say that it is certainly well engineered.

He loves it, and has put many miles including a few trips from the Bay Area to Phoenix, Laughlin, etc.

Who is BigDady ?
Can ya ask him to respond only that I am wondering about the handling off such a large rake?
As I said I put a 6 deg... rake on mine and do notice that its nit as steady at very slow speed and if that is compounded by three it might be nasty at real slow ?

He's a member here, and a friend of mine:

Send him a PM and he can give you plenty more information.

I can say after riding with pops many times that it certainly does affect the handling, but it is manageable and pops does just fine. I'm sure they will be glad to give you all the information and first-hand impressions.
