Default Steering head grease fitting

Just noticed the factory put a grease fitting on the steering neck of my new Heritage, its about time! I often wondered why every motorcycle didnt have one. Now if they would just put them on the swingarm bushings.

I have not seen one without. Do tell, what bike did you have without one?

Don't be surprised when you go through half a tube of grease the first time you want to grease your neck bearings. The factory only puts grease on the bearings. You have to fill the whole neck with grease before you actually get it to the bearings.

That's for sure. I've pumped a lot of grease into mine and have still only seen seepage on the bottom. Had my bike on the lift today cleaning it up and don't feel any play though. Guess things are ok. Headed to Panama City Beach in the morning.
