I've looked and as usual "EXCEPT DEUCE" on all of them...
Gettin' real tired of the aluminum strip under my speedo.
Anybody got a source for a custom leather strip that'll fit in that space on a Deuce. Found the sticky colored (black yeah) plastic ones on ebay, but wud rather have leather. Guess I gotta have a leather guy make me one and glue it on??????????????????? Help!!!
There is a leather dude that lives close to me on here. You might shoot him a PM or go to his website and see what he has got!!. Captain Itch is his name. His webadddy is: http://www.capt-itch.com/
Posers? Wha dat? Can of krylon flat black, take that shine off... Know what you mean, though, sun's right, blinds me next tank will have a gas cap, period. Can't help more, someone already mentioned Cap'n Itch.
Not a bib/bra fan myself. Just a place for dirt to get under and scratch the paint. HD sells the clear film that you can put under the bib to prevent scratches.
i didn't like the aluminum strip either. i bought exactly what you are talking about from HD several years ago for $16.95. it is part number 71686-00. it's black leather with an adhesive back. it eventually went to pot. it found a great looking chrome plated billet alum strip that attached with adhesive. i'll see if i can find my records of where i bought it.
