I am in the market for some new pipes for my Deluxe. I've been told that I will likely also want to do a stage one upgrade. I agree that is probably the way to go. Anybody have any recommendations? I don't want obnoxiously loud, but definitely louder than the stock ones on the bike now. I don't like the looks of the fishtails.
I've got some Vance and Hines big shot staggered on mine, love the sound of them. They look good on just about anything IMO.
+1 on the Big Shots..... I just installed mine and they sound GREAT! I had some Python 3 slip-ons before that and they were way better than stock, but the Big Shots beat 'em by a mile as far as sound goes.
V&h are great pipes but I'm going to recommend getting something other than them just because alot of harleys run them. I have freedom performance on mine Wg always having people asking what kind of pipes they are and no one has heard of them I like to be different. Really you cant go wrong with any pipe manufacturer. V&h, BUB, Bassani, Cobra, Samson all sound better than stock.
