I'd love to swap a 150 tire in for my current 200 tire - the question is, are the narrower swingarms similar enough to the wide-tire swingarms to do a bolt-on swap? I'm thinking I can pick up a heritage swingarm and swap it over without much difficulty, but I don't know if there's any significant differences other than the width.
Thanks, I wonder if it would look decent with the narrow tire and wide swingarm, changing out just the wheel would be a whole lot easier than swapping the entire rear end out. Might take another look at the bike today.

I could be wrong here but from what I understand is the 200mm rear tire models ie Fatboy, Nightrain, Crossbones all have a widerframe in the rear. I have never measured one so I can't say for sure. I know the rocker is wider than my bike. Take a tape measure to a dealer and measure a couple to make sure it will fit. The tire and wheel can be swapped out for sure
I actually didn't do the swingarm swap at all - I used a 150 wheel and tire from another model (dyna maybe?) and it bolted right in with the stock crossbones swingarm:

I just had to switch the wheel spacers around to accomodate the narrow wheel. I guess the hub itself is the exact same width on both styles of wheel because the pulley and rotor still line up perfectly on the bike.

Okay cool. I can see now from that photo that the swingarm is still wide. When you say you switched the wheel spacers around, do you mean you used the stock spacers, just not in the same arrangement or did you have to get new ones?
Also, did you go this route because it was simpler to do than a complete swing arm swap? I am curious because if I do this swap, I want to be able to use stock Harley fenders and I am not sure how it would look to a narrow H-D fender with the wide swingarm. It works on your bike because of the style of fender you are running.
