Not heard from bubba's yet...I think after the reviews I've heard they probably make a very good product but their customer support and sales department sucks. I have a Heritage classic so the bags came with the bike...and the rear turn signals are on a light bar under the license plate so no relocation needed.
Call them.. I just got off the phone with them.. I've never had a problem getting through. They did have a slowdown with shipping over the holidays to be expected plus with Pres. Ford's untimely death that put a stopper on the postal service. I'm still waiting on my part, but expect it will be here today or tomorrow. My first part (license plate mount) was ordered before Christmas and was shipped promptly.. Then I ordered the accompanying frame between Christmas and New Years and it was right in the middle of all the holiday chaos. I'd also bet they're slammed right now since all this talk here in the forum.. I'll bet we've drummed up a lot of business lately for them.. That coupled with having the new website up, I get the impression they're just a bit overwhelmed at the moment.
Give 'em a buzz on a sure enough telephone.. They'll straighten it out. Ken or Rick I think is his name that answers the phone.
I use barebacks on my saddle bags. My bags come off in seconds and go back on in seconds. I don't normally ride without the bags but I could if I wanted too and wouldn't have something "unsightly" sticking out from the fender supports...
IMO, if someone wants something they can take off the bike and into the motel room, they should get regular throw over saddlebags...or, get a travel bag that mounts to the seat/sissy bar/luggage rack...
I got my barebacks from dennis kirk...barebacks are madefor different bikes and with/without detachable sissy bars...
