Default new handle bars for crossbones

I have a 2009 crossbones. It has the factory 12" mini apes. I'm thinking about changing them to beach bars, but I'm not sure if the factory cables and wiring will work, or will I have to change them. Still not sure which beach bars I'm going to go with. Anyone with pictures of a crossbone with beach bar would be a big help. Thanks

I have the HD narrow beach bars on my Crossbones and love them. I used the stock cables with no issues, other than the routing is a little different now. I'll try and post a pic in the next day or two, or PM me your email and I will send you some.

well if you change the size from 12" to something longer than probably yes you will need new cables.
I posted a video of my crossbones and new Z bars "My Bike...The Demon" check it out.

factory bars are only 10.5 inches. i think the common guideline in here is if you go to a 12" bar you can do it without changing cables and lines. I don't remember for sure, but I think most who have gone to a beach bar have anded up swapping out cables because of all the excess not looking real clean and risking getting bound up somewhere. Check out the crossbones picture thread. If you see something with a set of bars you dig, shoot that guy a private message.

EDIT: I posted that without reading Hx3's post.

I have the narrow beach bars on mine , rode around with the original cables for a year or so, but way too much excess for my taste. So replaced them with the shorter ones. (you can check out the album I have in my profile) If you go for non-narrow beach bars, I think your cables should be OK.

Taino has the non-narrow ones if I remember correctly .. he has a picture up somewhere. Found it:

Here is another pic of his bike with the wide beach bars and no, as he states in one of the posts, didn't need to swap out the cables.
