Having that extra gear will definitely help you accelorate, and that the bike is about 100 or so pounds lighter. It all adds up to you not being as fast.

Really. Every 95 I encountered would crunch my bob when it was still a 96. Those 95s rev like crazy. The short stroke really gets the bike moving.
I would guess your bike isn't tuned right.

I've always heard the bikes with the 95 kit will walk all over the 96" motors as well. Makes me wonder if it's tuned right. But hey, Dickey is right, even if you lose the race the other guy can brag if he wants, just remind him you're on a Train and he's on a Street Bob!
