Default night train parts collecting for futer 200 conv.

i want to do a 200 rear conversion this upcoming winter so i am now shopping for parts i will need. i have a 03 night train with the skinny rear...i found a 08 fatboy wheel 17x6 and was wondering if it would work?
from what ive read i will need a 06 soft tail swingarm that is used with a 200mm tire and so my caliper will work. is this right?

i like the heartland and rolland sands fender but she likes to ride and i want to keep my stock seats and use a detatchable sissy bar so i was thinking of chopping a fat boy fender?

any input would be appreciated
thanks in advance

You are going to need to get the narrower belt from one of the later model bikes and the pulley as well. You may have issues with your frame horns as well, but I'm not certain. I have an 03 night train as well and am currently doing the same mod, though I went a different route. Got most of my intel from here.

If you do go that route swing arm from newer bike will be needed as well.

07 has 3/4" axle and 08+ have 25mm axle.

I do know that 06 FX softails had a lot of unique parts specific to that model year. The rear wheel has a different hub width then the 07's and the drive pulley is also unique to 06's. I've swapped 07 wheels on to my 06 FXST so I know all about this. There was another guy on here that just did the same swap on his 05 Train. His name is Bryce05 I think. He had a lot of useful info in his write up. I'm sure he could guide you in the right direction. If you go with the 06 rear wheel let me know.....I have my stock wheel and almost new tire setting in the garage.
