I know this is an old thread, but I have a similar question, especially about HD part 98959-08. The only time I expect to use a center stand is in my garage or driveway, for detailing and other maintenance stuff. Kinda torn between a simple chock or the center stand.
And am wondering if the stand would interfere with normal use of a lift (the good old yellow Craftsman!). It just goes to show hold old, lazy and crotchety I'm getting when I get too lazy to throw it up on the lift!
there is no problem using the Sears lift, the stand mounts way to the rear, and the legs fold back around the tire,
1 foot on the stand, push down and the bike is up, I set the adjustment low so the bike just lifts upright, and I can drive off the stand, hard to do when the adjustment is set to high, you spin the rear tire..........
