Default Line-X'd my Cossbones

Still deciding on a tank emblem to put on, but I think it turned out pretty nice.

I took it to a licensed Line-X shop. From past attempts at painting stuff I figured it was easier to have them just spray it and save me the time of trying to fix it when I messed it up.

I brought them the tins, they scuffed, taped and sprayed them. It was super cheap compared to paint, about $300 Canadian for the Fork brace, two fenders and a gas tank. They said it was the first time they had ever done a bike.

If you plan on doing it I'd suggest you take extra time making sure you get all the holes well taped up. The stuff goes on a fair bit thicker than paint so stuff sometimes is a little tough to get back together with holes lining up and whatnot. Places to especially watch that I didn't consider and took some work to get together were the spots the seat nuts go into, the bottom edge of where your tail light base wedges on to the fender, and the hole for your fuel gauge. Everything else wasn't too bad, but those three things were a giant pain in my ***.

I like the look, but think I would have to buy some black pipes or line x them or something. Too much chrome for a flat black paint job IMHO. Love the idea of a line x chopper. Would make for a good industrial look.

I was actually thinking of going back to wrapped pipes, but I really like sound of the ones I have on, and the way they are put together would make it almost impossible to wrap them without looking stupid. I don't think I'll be spraying the heat shields or anything, I almost feel like that would be going overboard.
