I'm considering doing the same with the Gangster Apes. The vintage look is fun to look at but it's not that great for riding any kind of distance. Until I get a second bike the Bones is going to have to be all things for me. Luckily it's pretty versatile and so far as my riding habits have changed so has my bike.

Dave, What size head lamp are you running?
7"

Not sure what you mean. I do 10-15K miles per year. Plenty comfortable, very stable, and handles very well in the twisties. I regularly ride 300 mile days, and have done 750 mile days no problem. Personally, I am not a fan of apes, but that is a style thing, not an experience thing. To each their own.

Ride safe!

Dave, you really do have one of the nicest HS on the board.

And Zambo, that Springer Classic is very nice!

I see what you mean though. The stock bars did get uncomfortable, at least for me. It was something about the wrist angle that just didn't get me comfy for the long hauls.

Now, I could see those beach bars being pretty comfortable for long hauls. Are those Burly Bars?

I love my Wild 1 510 dresser bars.... Have gone almost 1000miles in a day with them.... Helps to have a 100hp motor too.

Thanks Brother! We have some seriously nice HS here, so that is a real compliment.

Yeah, by BBB's are the Burly Long Horns, I think. It has been some time since I bought them. The Bars are the most comfortable I have ever had. They are 43" grip end to grip end (grips installed, of course. 39.5" bare bars, end-to-end) with 48" lever tip to lever tip. Quite the wingspan!

With the custom mount of the spring solo seat (I have to post pictures of the new 1925 tractor seat on her with the longer springs and my new lower, lower spring mounting perches), my seating position is about six inches further back then the stock seat, so the extended pullback of the bars is perfect. I think I finally nailed it.

Thanks again for the kind words.

Ride safe!

Love that Anniversary model! Classy!!

I agree, the bigger cubes and higher power make the miles go by faster!! At least my heart beats faster, for sure!!

While I have never ridden a 120+ C.I. bike (this is on purpose, as I do not want to fall in love and have to re-do my engine $$$), I think my hot-rodded 95 C.I with around 95HP/100TQ is a perfect match for the bike. Runs cool, dependably, and always has power when I want it.

But then, there could always be more power.... See, it never ends.

Damn!

Ride safe!!

That is a great looking bike for sure. Over the top, without looking like it.

Was able to get a short ride in after work, as the storms rolled in across Pikes Peak.
