a crank sensor is just that.... it tells the ecu that the eng is cranking and what position the pistons are in by a built in reluctor ring inside the engine.. it has nothing to do with a lean angle..

Oct, I really appreciate your input. I was thinking the crank sensor, but wasn't sure. But some of the descriptions of the throttle hesitation etc, sounds pretty dead nuts to what I was experiencing. The bike never shut off, and would ride fine if I gave it steady throttle. It was mostly when I threw it a bunch of throttle at once, it would almost hesitate, as if it was in like a "safe mode" because something was out of whack. I'll read up on the sensor and test it once I put the battery back in. I am wonder now if there was a code, if it will be erased now since I disconnected the battery? I'll keep you posted

Also, if there is a code...would I have to replace the sensor, or would there be more of a problem inside of the motor? Fingers crossed on this one...I'm gonna go put the battery back in now and see if I can get a code just to nip that now

I tipped over gently once and when got it back up, "TIP" was in odometer bar. Had to turn off both kill switch and ignition switch to reset. but mine is an '04.

Thumbs up

Ok, here is what I came up with. I had to do a quick wire up job for my stop/run switch, but was able to run a diagnostics of the bike...

For the categories:

P = ECM/ICM
S = TSM/TSSM
SP = Speedometer
T = Tachometer
6 = To Reset

Now for the area I wanted to check, it was the section "P". I ran a test, and it came up with the result of "NONE", which I thought was a good thing. I wonder if removing the battery may have cleared up any issues it may have had with the sensor once the bike went over. It did however provide a Part Number "PN 32919-07A, which it would give a different part # for each category I tested. Not sure if this is just what it does, but it did not give any error codes.

For the "S" category, I did get the following codes "61121, 61122, 61125, & 61126". However from reading the forums, they stated these codes are common once LED's are installed, which I have done. Plus my front signals are not plugged in at the moment. But either way, these shouldn't have anything to do with the question at hand.

Category "SP" provided a code of "61005", but do not believe these has anything to do with it either.

All other areas were clear of codes.

So all I can do at this point is get the bike back together with the new parts, controls etc and fire her up. I am hoping that by removing the battery, it may have reset whatever sensors were having issues before from the bike going over. Anything else you can think of, let me know. Thanks again!
