Oil pressure switch

I have oil coming from the switch itself, is there a diaphragm in those things that can rupture?

I'll just replace the switch/unit but I was just wondering.

Replace it and get some white loctite from autozone for the threads. Allow it to dry for 2 hours. Teflon tape will also work.

It's not really a diaphragm any more. It's a pizo sensor.

The plastic or bakelite will sometimes loose the crimp and oil will seep around it.

Clean the area around the hole and make sure no teflon tape, paste or junk gets into the sensor hole. It will make the sensor do crazy things. Don't ask.

What sensor do you need. I have a dual ( gauge/idiot light) 72357-04 off a Fl i don't need.
