191 FXR Oil Pressure switch
Hi ........... I'm on 'Nights' and knocked the oil pressure switch whilst washing the bike, electrical connection has come off taking the plastic top section of the switch with it. Does anyone know if I start the engine will oil leak out ? Is it safe to ride home, any Partco numbers for a temp switch as no bike shops near but a few car/auto shops. Typical as I'm going away Easter bank holiday on the bike ............... HELP !

Any oil pressure switch for a LIGHT will work if it has 1/8 pipe thread. Hard part may be finding one that will open at 5lb. Napa or most part stores (besides the Fast food types like autozone adavance auto etc) will have a big book with pictures and specs. You need one that is 1/8 ntp (pipe thread) and normally closed, open at 5-7 lb.

the switch on my fatboy LOOKS identical to the oil pressure switch on my small block chevy in my 77 chevy truck. i don't know if it will kick on at the same psi. but i bought the switch for my sbc at autozone for about 4 bucks. and yes it was 1/8"
