My bike was supposed to be ready today. I am putting 16" apes and all braided lines and a new 7" bullet headlight bucket on my bike. But just got my bubble bursted when I called service to check on a time to pick it up and they said that the parts guy ordered the wrong length barnett braided lines. Not only that the throttle cable was not only too long it was for a stock carb not S&S. Not they had to place another complete order for all the lines and they will not come in until next tues. MF!! That sucks. I had a club ride set up this weekend after the meeting. I had babysitting set up too so I can ride all day and night. Now it looks like the next time I can ride on the weekend will be in two and a half weeks from now. Oh well, just had to vent a bit.
I am a calm person. I am so laid back that my wife gets pissed and always says that I am not human because most of lifes problems don't bother me. When there is a problem with her and I she gets mad because I don't get mad. When there is a problem at work I don't let it bother me I just either fix it the best I can or ignore it. But when it comes to the bike something inside me burns and comes alive and I cant control it. I get so angry when things don't go right. Sometimes I feel like going postal.
I feel your pain brother! The bozo's at V-Twin City in Santa Ana never bothered to tell me that my new 1.5" Big Buffalo drag bars wouldn't work with my 1995 handlebar controls.....as such, they forced the master cylinder on the bars and cracked it. Now it's leaking brake fluid! Farking morons. They've gone through three service managers in as many months. I thought I would never have to deal with them again, but since they broke my master cylinder, I have to take it back to them for them to replace it.....then they have to figure out how to make the new one fit, otherwise I'll have to buy new controls.
HD's are a money pit, aren't they!?
Just out of curiosity, who is doing the work for you?
Oh. Los Angeles HD is doing my work. I have been going to them for years. They usually get it right. Laidlaws HD told them they could jimmy rig it so it would work but LA said they would rather order the correct part and do it right. I am just pissed because I was looking forward to riding her tonight and this weekend.
The guys at LA HD are pretty good when it comes to customer service. In my experience. I have been going there since 94 and had a brake from HD for almost 5 years and when I went back a lot of the same people were still working there MECH, Sales, Parts (I think employee longevity is a sign of a good dealership) When I walked in after that time everyone remembered me and welcomed me back.. Pretty cool. They also give me the HOG discount event hough I am not a member but because I have spent a grip of money there. I would rather them do it right rather than make due or mickey mouse a job on my bike. Yeah, I'm pissed but S happens. I guess I am over it now and looking forward to next week.
