Could it be the heat ?
I rode my 99 FatBoy to my girlfriends this morning the temp was 80 , ran like a charm . I rode home this evening temp was 107 and it spit and sputtered all the way back , Could this be a heat fuel problem or something else , appreciate any ideas . Thanks Bill
I doubt that the heat had anything to do with your bike running badly.
I (we) rode a '95 Heritage across Death Valley (106 degrees @ 11:00PM) riding double and pulling a trailer.
I would recommend that you consider replacing your intake manifold gaskets just to be sure that you don't damage your engine.
I just did our '98 & '99 Evo's (intake and exhaust ) and it's not very expensive.
