I have a 01 heritage with 18" wild ones
99% of the time I ride solo with the bars forward no windshield or bags
But if I go on a trip I pull the bars back and install the windshield and bags
Well after moving the bars a couple times it stripped out the handlebar clamp bolts
Is there a way I can keep moving the bars without stripping the bolts out?
Over tightening is the leading cause of bolt strippage. Are you using a torque wrench to tighten or just wrenching the crap out of em? IIRC, mine are set at about 20-25 ft lbs, but that might vary depending what risers you're using.

Stock risers and clamp
No torque wrench
I just tighten them until the bars dont slip
