Question Crossbones seat

Hey, i've had my bones for about 3 years, love the bike. But not the greatest for long hauls. I go almost annually with my old man, who has a nice comfortable Streetglide CVO, 2010 model. Great bike, lots of power, and a pleasure to ride. But way out of my price range, and don't really feel like upgrading. I still love the styling of my bones. Just wondering what people are doing to make the bike more comfortable to ride on long hauls. Any options that allow me to keep the stock solo seat (gel pads)? or is the best to upgrade to a Corbin or Mustang seat? I really like the tractor style solo seat, thats why im apprehensive about buying a mustang or corban, although Mustang has the Cyclone Solo, anyone with experience with it? What about the HD deluxe solo seat? I think the problem with the stock seat is that its too much padding, im wondering if a thinner seat would help? Any ideas? Im heading to Sturgis in a few weeks, so i'd like to get a solution soon. Thanks.

I'm heading to Sturgis too, from from down south. Same issues I had when I started riding my Bones. I wanted comfort but didn't want to sacrifice style. For the seat I have the 1940s tractor seat from HD. It is so much more comfortable.

I have a sissy bar and passenger pilon and this is great for using a bag that provides back support. Currently I have the Kuriakyn Tombstone Bag. The bag had a rigid frame in it so even empty provides support. It is very stiff. This in conjunction with my beach bars makes for an incredibly comfortable ride but still looks great.

The seat

The bag I wish I had a better pic of it...

I also have the older style tractor seat. During a trip back from Milwaukee last year it was good for about 6hrs of riding (with a couple short stops). My **** was starting to hurt come the end of that particular ride.
I imagine having something to lean back on would be a great benefit too.

Plus one on the Tombstone Bag. I have a Heritage but I can speak about the comfort of the bag on a long haul.

I am pretty tall and even with the 1" pad, it pushed me up. However, thanks to the zippered cover, I just removed the pad and it fits perfectly.

The Tractor Seat looks great!

Yup, what he said. The HD custon tractor is way more comfy and way better looking. Putting a bag on the pillion/back rest will reach out and suppurt your back too.

Although I don't have the bones but the Springer Classic, I like others went with the older style tractor seat.

If I'm gonna take a looooong trip I take my Airhawk and it helps a lot as well. Throw a sheepskin in also and can go for days and days!

Great thanks guys! I was thinking the HD tractor seat, and its nice cause it literally just bolts on, no additional hardware needed.
