*****, bitch, whatever you want to call me and make yourself feel important hiding behind a keyboard.
There are a lot of good folks on this forum, and obviously a lot of ********* as well.
Good luck in your life without bikes. I hope i will always have bikes cos they are in my blood but the day that you can't face it is the day to stop.
tbone
Now this forum member ask or needs a little info and some help on what his bike may be worth and you and others treat him with ridicul......Really, nothing left to say but go figure, it takes all kinds to make this world go round.

It takes a set of brass ones to come on here and say you are leaving vs just going away.
Stay safe and keep the rubber side down.
The Best of Harley-Davidson for Lifelong Riders
I sold my '75, just because I kept worrying about having a wreck. I never came close to one but when I rode, it's all I thought about. The fun was gone so I sold it.
Two weeks down the line I was itching to ride so bad I went out and got my new Softail Slim.
That said. I do ride differently now than I did during my days with the sporty. First of all, the head is on a swivel a lot more. I'm off the freeways unless I really have a reason to be on. I have less congested -- but still fun -- routes that I frequent and learn every inch of on my way to work and weekends.
And I've made a number of concessions on gear. I have no trouble wearing my big ugly, white helmet. And I never venture out without good leather, real riding boots, etc.
The biggest thing, and this sucks on my part, is I was never M1'd on the sporty and had ridden in the craziest conditions you could imagine. Now I'm M1'd with a safety course, and frequently practice in parking lots to get better.
So far, I've seen the close calls coming before they really happened. Knock on wood. YMMV, and I would never call someone a puss for giving it up. I'm not married now, but have a gal I wanna marry. And if she and my future kids told me to give up riding, I'd do it for them. I'd get me one hell of an awesome cage though.
