Default back fire during start

my 98 fatboy backfires during start. i sprayed carb cleaner and when I tried to start, fire came out of carb and a loud backfire from exhaust. prior to this i adjusted my clutch. I don't know if this has something to do with the backfire

Did you have the key on when you adjusted the clutch? If not then your clutch ignition timing is 180 degrees out and is causing the backfire. Why would you spray carb cleaner in the carb. How much did you spray? You should give the carb cleaner time to evaporate before trying to crank the bike.

Me neither.
I would have checked the tires for correct air pressure first.
