Welcome and thanks for your service to this great country! Get out there and enjoy the scenery it has to offer!
As everyone's already said, they ARE trying to kill you, keep practicing the stuff they teach you in the safety class and, if you start to get too comfortable and cocky THAT'S when you get into trouble.
Extra safety tip: Never underestimate the power of yelling at drivers. Ya know, a big HEY! I've had it save my *** a few times.
Welcome great choice in first bike. Enjoy your riding and watch for everyone try to look every sled driver in the eyes that way you know they see you. Its the texters that are most dangerous.
Thanks everyone, I will get some pics up soon, Just gotta figure out how this works. I want to put a pic in my signature BUT either I don't know how to make a sig, or I am not allowed until 5 posts and 5 days. Ill see soon.
Congrats on joining the club. +1 on all the safety tips. Today was a first good day in the Sandhills for awhile to ride. The backroads were lonely, the sky was blue and the temp was nice. No one tried to kill me or even startle me today. There is always plenty to keep you on your toes, but a day like today will remind you why you ride. May see you out there. I'll be the guy with a gray beard and a black sftl. Enjoy your ride.
I put a Stage 1 intake on, then smoked turn sig kit, then smoked LED tail light. Next up: Pipes... but that will be a couple months before I can save up the cash... I'm thinking something 2 into 1. Thanks again, everyone.
