Default S/s's oil scavenger redline oil

1, I have the shotgun shocks on for a little over a week now. I am really impressed, it's like riding a new and different bike every time I get on it. I am close to considering it 1 of the best mods done to my bike to date.
2} I know this will start a controversy but I told a few I would post after I used this, the oil scavenger. I was stunned at how much old black filthy oil that came out of my bike. Say or think what you may but I will use this every oil change I do. That old crap can't be good for your motor compared to a 100% clean oil change.
3} I changed tranny oil with Redline when I changed to the Shotgun shocks. I don't like it near as much as my Amsoil. It shifts harder and clicks through the gears, which it never did before. Now I have to drop my shocks to change it back.

I agree with you on all points, and I would suggest you try Mobil 1 75/90 Gear Oil next time in the tranny.

Wow I use redline in my tranny and it made the shifting easier and made neutral a dream. Too bad they dont make a suction kit for removing the tranny fluid like the oil scavenger that would prevent removing the shotguns,

Whoaaaa, U mean U have to drop the shocks everytime U change Ur tranny oil....

Wouldn't like that, nor have I every heard anyone say they had to do that who's installed them...

Now I see why members who have those shocks pay $500 for a service..

I'd surely think they would have something that allows a tranny oil change with doing a removal of them.

I wanted to get a pair of Shotgun Shocks but I could not find anyone on the east coast (at the time) who would install them for less than $400.00.

The other issue of lowering the shocks to drain the transmission however major/minor you may think, it is a definite pain in the ***.

Why not use an old 12 volt electric fuel pump and siphon from the trans fluid fill hole.

To change the tranny oil, i do have to remove the front bolts on my Shotgun shock and swing it out of the way. I have a J&S jack and it adds only about 10 minutes to the whole process. The difference in ride and comfort with the Shotgun is more than worth the extra time and trouble.
I am also running Redline in my tranny right now and have found it is working out fine.
