I really like the look of the king & queen seat with the built in sissy bar that are on the 07 and later FXSTC bikes and was wondering if anyone makes a similar seat that will fit my 03 FXST with a 150mm rear tire. What is the difference in the seat mounts? I notice that softail seats typically frit 84 to 99, then 2000 to 2006, and then 2007 and up. The mounts all look about the same. Here is a link to the FSXTC seat I was refering to above. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Factory-Soft...11%26rk%3D4%26
Nope, if your bike was newer it would, but stock for stock it wont fit. Wide tire softails are different from the rest. That being said, Id be interested to know the mounting differences as well.
Yeah I know it will not fit because of the 200 rear fender is wider than mine but I was wondering if HD or some of the aftermarket companies make a similiar seat. And on a side note I was wondering what make the mounting different from 84 to 99, 2000 to 2006, and 2007 and up softails.
It would most likely fit if you built an '03 width backrest and lined up the mounting holes from the 07 seat. I would measure the '07 and make sure it isn't gonna stick out over the sides of your narrow rear fender. Anything can be done with a welder and a six pack.

Can't weld so I traded the welder for the 6 pack..
lepera Cobra and Regal plushes have the same good look, all you need is a matching Leather sissy bar pad and you are good to go
I like the look of the regal and I noticed on the Lepera website they say the 1984 to 2005 will fit. If that is the case there are a bunch of the older softail pillow top style, very similiar to the regal, on ebay but they all say fit 84 up to 99. I wonder if they would actually fit past 99. No Sir, click on the links you will see different part numbers for 99 prior than 2000+ .. the model is for all those years correct, but the excact seat is different.
It will take some customizing skills that I do not have to change that, I believe the front mounting tap location is different.
Oh yeah I see the 84-99 is LN-152 ['84-'99]LX-152 ['00-'05]LX-152 ['06-'12 150mmLN-152 ['84-'99]LX-152 ['00-'05]LX-152 ['06-'12 150mmLN-152 and 2000 to 2012 LX-152 for the Regal plush. Bummer...
