Default Brake light hard to activate

'95 Heritage, both front and rear, brake light doesn't come on until the pedal or lever are activated pretty hard. For someone that likes to tap the brakes just to pop the lights, it's rather inconvenient. Any adjustment or way to fix that, or is that "how it is"?

Take a look at the switch. I'm thinking it shouldn't be that hard to activate. The switch might be bent requiring you to press harder on the pedal. Other then the switch being bent you might have to fab on an extension if you want it to activate with less pressure/ travel.

did you touch the housing at all? adjust it, put a screwdriver to it, move anything? the switches arent complicated, just sensative.

I'm not even sure where the rear switch is. Just got the bike Sunday.

front and rear may be one and the same, if so, it's most likely on the handle bar next to the throttle.

How would that work then? Doesn't seem right in my mind.
