Ive read most but not all responses so sorry if I'm doubling up. Some might think its funny, and it may not necessarily be the solution to your problem...but stretch and exercise. I used to have your problem (still do every now and then) and what I needed to do was stretch and exercise my thighs and hips by doing squats etc. My body wasn't used to the seat/leg position.
Before you spend any more money, call Danny Grey, and ask if they can modify the seat you bought, or any way they can help get you more comfort. You already have thier seat, and they make great seats, but everyone has different needs. If they can't or won't help, call Rich at Bitchin Seat Company. He is a great guy. Talk to him about what bothered you with the stock seat, and the other seat. He can build a custom seat to fit you. I put a Roland Sands Designs rear fender and seat on my bike, and did not like the seat RSD offered. I searched the web and found Bitchin Seats. Called and spoke to Rich for about a half hour, told him what I was looking for. He took my bike info and my measurements over the phone, and built me a awsome seat, that fit me and the bike perfect, and super comfortable. The best seat I have ever had on anybike I have owned.
There are lot's of floorboards out there for softails, I have been looking at some mini boards as of late. I maybe the 1% that has not had a problem with the stock set up and I ride my bike, no garage queen here. You may try resting your heels up on the pegs too and like others have stated..........you may what to look into some new bars. Check out Kuryakyn..............
This could be a physical problem. Take your wallet out of your pocket, and see a chiropractor. I haven't put my wallet in my back pocket for years and it makes a big difference.
It is likly that its not the bike, but the way it fits you.I had to make adjustments to my Rocker now it is very comfortable. see your dealer he can help
I've seen the mini floor boards for around 100-120. I may try them on my ST. I'd check if DG could reshape the seat you bought an lower you an maybe move you 1" forward. I think getting more support under your feet an allowing you to relax the muscles in your legs may be the most help.
