LOL It gets you bad! Back in January I was just going to do my front lowers and the caliper as my phase 2, after my bars were done previously in November and the rest is history as they say. hahaha
I completely lost all control, I still wish I had a picture of the OL face when she came out to the garage to tell me goodnight and all that was left of the stand was a frame and motor. Good luck with trying to deal with it, there's no sense in fighting it, just build it!

You mean like this?
Yeah, it was the same with me. When I bought my bike, I was like, "I love my bike the way it is. That's why I bought it!" Heh. 3 years later, the only way you could tell it was the same bike was by the color...
My wife was also shocked to see my bike in the above state. She was all concerned and said: "are you gonna be able to put that back together?" Surprised the **** outta her. Problem is, after about 20 years of not knowing I had a handy side, she expects me to fix stuff now...dammit!
Eventualy the only stuff left to do will all cost over $1500 each...at that point it gets easier to slow down. When you start moding over previous mods is when you know you are close to rock bottom...
I think the only cure for me would be if I were too busy juggling 3 different young mistresses. Other than that, I'm pretty much doomed to throw money at bikes.
