I used the collars for the 1.5 drop. I like the way it sits and I still have good 2up riding with it dropped. Here are some before and afters. Not the best shots but you can see the difference in the fender coverage over the tire.

2" lowered front and rear, and I'll argue all day long that she handles better in the twisties now than at stock height. Lower center of gravity, stiffer suspension, less fork flex, and in my case, with the Ricors up front, much better front end control when the corners aren't glass smooth. Sure you gotta be more careful bout scraping hard parts, but that's easily adjusted for by body position and riding style. Riding on the bump stops with air ride......now that's a whole different story.
