Sounds like a lot of the people posting comments on this thread need to find another dealer because apparently theirs are crooks. Dillon Bros. in Omaha did me well. I submitted my app for HD finance online and got approved at 9%. I then went to the dealer and picked out my 2009 Heritage. Then the Dealer went to work for me and found me 100% financing at 4.5%. My credit score is in tier 1. Depending on you credit your deal may vary.
Credit Unions are the best place to get financing but are also sometimes hard to get approved. I recommend you let your dealer work for you and if you are happy with the terms then who cares what terms anyone else supposedly got.
Let's face it the only person who needs to be satisfied is you.
I think Harely's best rate is 4.9% right now. They do have promotions from time to time. Interest is cheap right now. If you shop around and find a loan 1% less than a dealer, you save less than $350 over a 5 year term on a $20,000 loan. (just an example, I'm not suggesting $20,000 for 5 years). Point is, you might get a little better deal on the bike if you finance with the dealer. Something to ponder.
