Default Fuel pack

I have a 2012 blackline softail with the 103 I'm gonna put some Vance and Hines short shots on was wondering if anybody could give me some input on which fuelpack to use and is it better to use one you leave on permanent or one you program and take off

Do not buy a fuel pak at all. They are total junk. I had one. Never again. I now have a pcv and am very happy with it.
I hear good things about the power vision and the tts but please don't waste a thin dime on a fuel pak

hey man, i helped a friend put one on his vrod and it worked fine, very easy to install if you follow directions. I would say its only a good idea if you have no future plans on building up your motor. If all you want is the pipes and intake it works fine.

I would like to hear why Shredding Rubber thinks its total junk becuase my buddy had no probs with it!

Got a fuelpak on mine, works fine. I had a bit of deceleration popping, so I added a set of Xied's to the O2 sensors and now it's great. No complaints with it here.

All of my local motorcycle shops recommended I buy the PCV instead of the Fuelpak. I bought the PCV to go along with a set of Short Shots on my 2010 Deluxe and am happy with it. Install took about 25 minutes and was very straightforward.

Be sure to order some oxygen sensor bung plugs for your new exhaust because the PCV eliminates the oxygen sensors so you don't need to have them installed on the bike anymore. I believe you need the 18mm plugs.

I currently have V&H Big Shot Staggered with a Fuelpak.........never had a problem. The tech help at V&H (for mapping) are excellent!

In case you hadn't noticed by now, FuelPak is the trade name for the Vance & Hines fuel management device. That's why the focus of the replies immediately turned to V&H and not a more general discussion of devices. There are a zillion posts on this forum discussing the pros and cons of all sorts of devices. Just search for "fuel management system" or "computer tuning" or something similar and you will find all you ever wanted to know and a lot more.

I did a butt load of research before choosing a tuner. Power Vision is the one to get.......
