need help for front end noise

I have a 2011 Heritage classic softtail with 14000kms. Yesterday I heard a clicking noise every time I hit a minor bump like a crack in the road or frost eave. I took it to the local Harley dealer and they said that it had a loose steering head. They said they adjusted it a wont charge me because bits so new. I kleft there and within 5 minutes the noise was back again. Does anyone know what I'm hearing?

Take it back and ask them to ride it. Sounds like it may be fork related or something just loose. I had a similar thing when the bolt on the top of the fall bars backed out.

I was going to say that you needed a fall away adjustment. It sounds like that's what they did did but they may have left it too loose. I would take it back as suggested.

Check the small stuff like the headlight tins. Bang on them with the butt of your fist and see if anything rattles. You'd be amazed how loud a loose headlight ring or triple tree tin can be. Easily mistaken for something in the forks. There is a member here (won't mention names) that tore the whole front end down looking for a similar noise. It was just a headlight trim ring if I recall...

I wouldn't mess with It, she's still under warranty.... take it back again and tell them it still has the click..

That way they can't say U fudged it up.
