Hello all....
I am putting this post up just for as an FYI for anyone with a similar problem. I have been doing more and more work on my bike myself. I have had this annoying buzzing vibrating sound on deceleration/braking that was coming from the front end. I decided it had to be checked to make sure it wasnt a steering braking problem. Safety First.
So i start tapping the front end areas with the side of my hand and I hear the sound. Its in the headlight area. Now I am saying cool. Bike is safe. I still went further, checked all the fital things. Then i went back toi the noise.
I thought the chrome brow was making noise over the headlight, turns out thats not it. I start looking closer and it is the headlight itself. I take out the headlight assy to find the screw that holds the projector in the center of the light just slightly loose. Tighten up the screws in and outside the light and the noise is gone.
To be honest if the noise comes back i dont care. But I thought if anyone had a similar noise this information might be helpful.
If you read my entire post the answer is there. It is the light refractor in the headlight. (black piece in center of headlight) Take the headlight lens out, remove the water seal behind the bulb. Tighten the 2 phillips screws. Reinstall. Fixed mine.
Sorry if my description was not clear. I just want to help people, like everyone else has helped me. Hope this description is better.
All you have to do to test it is hit the headlight with the side of your fist.
I read the whole post in its entirety. The noise I'm getting is as you described, but is not there, at all, on deceleration. It only happens when I use the front brake. I thought my symptoms where different than those which you described.
