i know some people here have/do use seafoam in their gas but i was wondering if anyone has used it in their oil ?
this is not something i am pondering doing just wondering if people have and if so why or what benefits there may be to adding it to the oil.
It can be used to clean the engine by adding it in a small amount to the crankcase. It should only be used for a hundred miles before changing the oil, as I have heard. Personally, at 8-11the bucks a can, I'll go without. It does work well in my winter storage routine. I add almost an entire bottle to the fuel tank, and run it into the carbs. It stabilizes the fuel, and keeps my carbs from varnishing.
It can safely be used in oil but I have yet to see a need. My oil, primary and trans drain nearly clean at 5000 mile intervals, even with 40K on the motor.
If I had an older bike or one that has real dirty oil at each drop I might consider it.
Is there a reason that you want to use it or is this just a random question?
