Default another Xied/Vied question

I had a thread on this forum on my rush mufflers discoloring. They are sending me new mufflers and recommended I do something to reduce the heat so it won't happen again. I know many riders have installed either the Xied's or Vied's to reduce heat and increase performance so does these seem like a good way to go? The only modification to my heritage is the slipon mufflers and not planning anymore for quite awhile so the Xied's seem to be an economical way to go. I'm sure many are going to say to get complete fuel management system but if these Xied's will positively reduce the heat why not go that way.
Anyone have fl-Xied-10 or fl-Vied-10 for sale?

Check out their website and make your own informed decision. You'll get a lot of varied opinions and recommendations here in support of their own choices, which is all weel and good, but you may have a different rationale and goal in mind. For me, I have the XiEDs and the V&H FuelPak and they play very very well together. The XiEDs will simply richen the fuel to air mixture. They act in the same way as re-jetting a carbeurator. If you want more air in the front and more air out of the back, you need more fuel to do it efficiently, and that's what the XiED harness does. I installed a full set of Rush pipes and my bike runs perfectly with my set-up. I also do not plan on doing anything other than keeping my internal engine components stock.

Well I have just fitted some on my Bones and all seems well covered about 50 miles so far bike does pop and fart a bit on de-acceleration but that could be a combination of the new mufflers and air intake I'm off on a 800 mile road trip soon so I will see how it goes

Just installed a set of XIEDs and very pleased with them. I have about 100 miles on them so far and they work as advertised. Can't comment too much on the decrease in temp, because it was 90 degrees when I installed them and today it's only 80 - so too many variables to make an accurate statement. However, I can say that have added more fuel into the mixture because I can definitely smell more gas when started and there is a bit more power off the line. They have also elminated about 75% of the decel popping.
