Default 04 Night Train HID Conversion.

Well what I have done was searched around and never found much information on the HID's in night trains so I figured I had a lil cash I'd go ahead and give it a whirl I purchased an HID kit off ebay from a user which I've bought kits before and they have been in service still after 5 years with no problems. ok well on to the results, after fitting the ballast and everything inside the housing (to my surprise) I am not so sure if I like them or not. for me as the rider I love it, however at the same time I also have to think about the person on the other end of the ray of light and think about them cause if I blind them well I might as well write my own obituary. anyways here are a few pics let me know what you think I have NOT taken this out on the roads at night yet until I do a lil further testing with aiming of the light and seeing how the glare affects others.

any positive input is greatly appreciated.

gonna let you all in on a lil secret, ebay sells the kit for the night train for 80 dollars shipped... I found a h4 kit for a car and got 2! and only paid 32 dollars shipped and had it in 2 days. I accidently ordered the wrong kit and didn't get the dual headlight, however the dual woulda just been a normal high beam and woulda been useless the low beam HID is AMAZING. I'll take a couple more pics in a bit now that its darker. anyways on to where I got my kit from

http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=...n=xenonexperts

I bought the xentec kit not the "Slim ballast" cause I knew what size these xentecs were since I've used them before. also there is minimal dimming when starting my bike with these lights which is what a lot of people said would destroy the HID's.

now read carefully you WILL need to add a note to seller when buying these what kind of bulb, what color range email address etc etc.

With all that being said would anybody like me to make a detailed "How-To" on doing these HID's?? I'm getting a new headlight soon (chrome is bubbling on the bottom and im very meticulous about my chrome) and will have to redo my install. the current install is in a stock fixture.

What size and brand headlight do you have that the ballast fit into the bucket? It looks awfully tight on any 5 3/4" light

Yeah man! A write up would be cool, never done one of these before and it would be nice to know what to look out for. Your link takes me to a page with tons of kits, which one did you order? Maybe a link to the specific kit? Or are they all pretty much the same as long as its for our bulb type and not a slim kit?

if you can all hang tight, not this weekend but next weekend I think im gonna have my new Viper Headlight and I'm ordering the dual ballast HID so I have high beam (even though its halogen high) just because it bugs me and I will do a write up with lots of pics then. the kit on the page you would want is the h4 kit and you have to specify when you order. however when I go to do the write up I'll make sure to add in all the info and what brand etc. I'm using. I always use 10,000k bulbs though just cause its a hint of blue and very bright for me to see at night I think that the 8,000k would be good too, however I wanted the blue tint.

as for a previous question I'm using the OEM 5 3/4" headlight fixture/mount, all I had to do was change the bulb and trust me it was a TIGHT fit but I made it all work
