Getting back on my bike after doing a little shopping, started it up and it ran wide open; I finally got it shut down. Started it back up after letting it set a minute and giving it a look, started up just fine. Rode a little bit, and it died. Popped the clutch and it started back up. Died a couple of more times rolling up to a stop light. Started up just fine.
Fyi; I've got 16" bars with Magnum cables (their website says the cables are lubed at the factory). The throttle snaps back just fine, and with the bars turned either full left or right also; so the cable adjustment seems ok. Running the SE Pro Tuner and the throttle lock is backed all the way out...
Any ideas?
Just a follow-up; TPS is plugged in and connection is tight. Mounting screws are tight also. Did confirm that butterflies full open and snap back closed with handlebars at full turn both right and left...
Took my Heritage into the dealership; they got real excited and moved me up to the front of the list when I told them the throttle stuck. They pulled 7 trouble codes:
P0132, P0152, P0507, P1632, B2173, B1210 and U0141.
TPS? (throttle position sensor) Check to make sure it hasn't loosened or a loose connection...did it throw a code?
