FYI
Just in case anyone runs into this. I had the faring off on my EGC and after re-installing it, I checked throttle operation and found that with the bars turned to the left stop, the throttle would not return to closed by it's self. Thinking I had pushed the cables into a tight bend or something I removed the faring again. No problem found there. Long story short, check the other end of the cables. I had to pull them back toward the connections behind the air cleaner. There was a sharp bend instead of a nice radius causing the bind.
Mine was doing same thing. I tried using wire ties to hold it in place by tying it to the other cable. Wound up adjusting the free play in the cables and got it to stop.
