Ok I have tried to search but the search function does not seem to work with my phone. I have an 01 Deuce with a stock motor other than filter and exhaust. I know nothing about cam specs. Can you guys help me with some cam choices? Im wanting more low-mid grunt. I dont know what to expect from cams powet and tq wise but My last bike was an 02 Warrior so Im use to a lil more power.
If you ride 2up sometimes or plan on leaving it an 88", Andrews 21's. If solo most of the time and plan on 95" someday, 26's. Since your bike is a bit lighter, maybe just go with 26's. What pipes do you have? From personal experience, the right cam with a 2n1 will give you a really nice bump. Cam only with 2n2's, not a big deal imo if you want low to mid tq gains. You will need to rejet carb also.
Right now I have V&H Big Radius on the bike. I have a Python 2 into one sitting in the garage. I have a power commander right now but may ditch for a se tuner. I do some 2 up but mostly solo.

I dont have a twin-cam motor anymore I have one of T-mans motors. It is a 12 year old single cam 97ci motor with duel plug heads and Axtell jugs. a S&S super stock bottom end with a Zippers 653 Red Shift cam. Your like most people that own harleys and are pissed off because of lack of power. You have to realize that unless you have the motor done correct step by step by a qualified builder it can create weak points because of oversized parts such as cams. Give T-man Preformance a ring. I am making about 125 HP in a 12 year old 97ci build. I will be running it at AHRDA Rockingham next month in the ET class

You re correct about over camming a bike. That tman 590 cam you recommended is a high lift cam and will not work in his bike.
The most common cams for 88" are 21, 26 and se 203's. Some use 37's but in an 88" its mid to higher end hp, you will loose low end tq.
Black01, after you choose a cam, try to find a map for you pc. Since you have two sets of pipes, try each one. BR is not considered a performance pipe. If you like it, try it. Then try the python and see what you think.
How many miles are on the bike? You may look into the hydraulic cam chain tensioner setup and dump the spring tensioners our bikes have. Harley and Andrews both have one. If youre not a high mileage rider, its not worth the money imo. Also you will need to replace inner cam bearing and possibly lifters depending on the mileage.
Below is an alternative to hd's spring tensioners. You can replace just the shoes with a product made of better materials.
I just turned 13k. I have only had it a few mos. I dont have plans to keep the BR. I just happen to be at the dealer when a guy was picking up his Fatboy after a wreck rebuild. He was hauling his pipes out and said he would take $100 for them. They only had 1500 miles and not a scratch. Plan was to sell them but I threw them on to see how they sounded.
I just need to decide on cams. Im fairly sure I can get tuned for free.
Kumaride, was you happy with just cams?
