Default Program security system

Hey guys,
I have a 2012 FLSTN, I would like to reprogram the security system to use my own code if the fobs ever failed by using the turn signals.
Every tutorial online does not seem to work so far, I figured maybe someone
here could help me out.

I'm not sure they are the same, but for my 09 Heritage:
To program a PIN-
1) Select a 5 digit (1-9) PIN
2) With an assigned fob present, turn IGN Key: IGN-OFF-IGN-OFF-IGN
3) Press left turn signal switch 3 times
4) Press right turn signal 1 time (turn signals flash 3 times). Current PIN will appear on the odometer. The first digit will be flashing.
5) Enter first digit of new PIN by pressing left turn signal switch the number of times of the number. For example if the first digit is a "3", then press the left turn signal three times.
6) Press the right turn signal switch 1 time to advance to the next number.
7) repeat step 5 and 6 for the rest of the 5 digit PIN.
8) After the 5th digit is entered turn ignition off, the odometer will return to normal and the new PIN will be stored.

To disarm by PIN-
1) Turn to Ignition
2) Within 2 seconds hold both turn signal switches in until the "key" icon on the odometer flashes.
3) Enter the first digit of the PIN by pressing the left turn signal the number of times of the PIN number. For example if the first digit of the PIN is "3", then press the left turn signal three times.
4) Press the right turn signal 1 time to advance to the next PIN digit.
5) Repeat steps 3 and 4 for the remaining 4 digits of the PIN.

Don't forget to press the right turn signal switch after the fifth digit is entered.
Your alarm is now disabled and will remain disabled until your fob comes within arming distance.

Hopefully this helps

Something else that may help. The engine kill switch must be set too off, and the system must not be activated when trying to set the system. (Make sure that the lights are not flashing when trying to do all the steps mentioned in the previous post)

Once you get it reprogrammed, practice, practice, practice. From experience, it sucks screwing around with this when you leave your key fob on the workbench end up having to put in the code!
