Default Cams for 2007 fatboy

Have a 2007 fatboy with stage 1 done.. SE air cleaner, vance and hines staggered short shorts with SE tuner. Looking to do a cam upgrade, looking at se204 or se254e. Do lots of two up mountain riding looking for more top end for 5th and 6th gear pulling some steep hills...any suggestions out there...Thanks

I just put cams in my '08 Fatboy this past July. My first pick was the SE204s but I could not get them. My tuner recommended Andrews 37's and that is what I went with. She really barks now; great sound, and lots of power. It needs a bit more revs to come alive. An Andrews 48 might be a better choice if I had to do it again.

But there are a lot of good cams out there, bewilderingly so, and you will get just as many opinions, just like mine.

Been runnin' Wood 555s for a year now and they kick ***! Can start out in 2nd if I want w/o lugging (tho I wouldn't recommend this), so even low down, they have impact. Gears have much longer legs and rarely even need 6th. Just keeps going and going in 5th.

You'll get a lot of different answers to this and you probly can't go wrong with any of the recommendations, but another plus for me was the service I got from Jamie at Fuel Moto. Recommended everything I needed for the build, instructions were straightforward, everything went smoothly. Highly recommended forum sponsor!

+1 on the Wood 555 cams ... I couldn't believe the difference with them installed. They pull and pull and pull. Like above, I rarely use 6th gear.

Not trying to hijack the op's thread, but I have a 07 FB myself and have been contemplating which cams and tuner to install.. looking for the low to mid torque increase also. my question is what did the Woods and the Andrews cam's do to your fuel mileage ?

The cams that Thundermax sells are Red Shift, aren't they? Good cam, so I've read...

My gas mileage went down to 38 but my Tmax tweaked it some and now I'm at around 41 and I enrichened the map at the lower RPM's to get the map better suited to my pipes.
