would recommend these to anyone..especially if trying to lose the shotguns( burned passenger boot) my video does not do them justice...nice rumble and loud enough...very very happy camper
Put a V&H pro pipe on my fatboy lo
Awesome deep sound that doesn't **** off the neighbors, but barks when you get on the throttle
Plus 1 on the V&H Pro Pipe. I have one on my 07 Fatboy and on wife's Deluxe. We have short legs and this pipe solved the fried thigh problem. Plus a 2 into 1 makes more power than most others set ups. (with high flow AC and a Power Commander V properly mapped)
Check out my pix.
Another vote for V&H ProPipe. Good sound, nice low rumble. And are adequately loud when you really get on it. However, I do miss my V&H Short Shots at times.....
I just bought a 2013 vivid black Fatboy and I'm looking for some pipes. I like the looks of the Vance and Hines big radius 2 into 2 and the bigshots staggered. I also like the looks of the Samson Pamonas but I'm open to more suggestions. I'm new to HDForums so I'm sorry if this is a redundant post but I was hoping you guys or gals could help me out and fill me in on some pros and cons of any/all pipes you've seen, heard, or had on fatboys. (pictures would be very helpful) Thank alot. Looking forward to your replys.
I've had my Fatboy for 2+years......had V&H Long Shot and I replaced them with V&H Short Staggered.......love the pipes. I ride everyday if I can and they still look new. Chrome is still bright (no pits or rust) and they still sound great. Pipes tend to be a personal choice, I didn't get the V&H Big Radius (they look really great) because they point down and blow s##t up from the street......not bad for you but if you are close to a fellow biker in a parking lot or stop sign it may not be pleasant for them. My opinion may not be shared by others. Lots of pics out there and youtube vids which include sound.
I started with the stocks ,of course.. but they just didnt get it done for sound...went to Rush slip-ons....loved the sound ,but girlfriend still melting boot on top pipe...went to V @ H propipe 2-1 chrome...love it..love it...love it...added stage 1 SE air and the tune and first stoplight I left hammered the throttle and thought I was gonna wheelie..couldnt believe the torque increase....best $ spent yet ...deep melllow tone on cruise but will "talk' when you hammer it...very satisfied
went with the "download" from the dealer as I do not plan on replacing these pipes..or another motor upgrade...it was a $$$ thang...150.00 vs.400.00 MOL
Ive got the Bassani Road rage 2-1 short. Its a badass pipe. Loud when it needs to be but i go on long trips and it is great on the highway. Great performance and i get alot of compliments. Its something differant then v&h which everyone has. Ive had mine for over a year and ive only seen a couple which keeps it unique.
Put some new exhaust on last night. Paughco drag pipes. I was looking for pipes that sat a bit higher up on the frame rail as I tend to ride with the suspension set very low. Good classic looks and super cheap (<$300 brand new).
