I put a new Lepera Sihouette Elite on my Heritage and rode about 100 miles today and let me tell you, my a** was totally numb! I didn't think i would make it back home. Does anybody else have one of these and if so do they get any better after you break them in a little? They look great and i have ridden short distances with it and haven't had any problem but today was a whole different story.
NO 1st hand experience here, but despite the beautiful LePera look, I have read MANY posts that said that they are basically pressure treated lumber wrapped in leather, and they DO NOT break in.
Remember, I do not nor have I ever owned one, so take these comments with a grain of salt. however, I have read SO many "hard as concrete" posts about LePeras that I am currently looking at Corbin & Mustang.

Well I "did" have one and got rid of it for these exact reasons. Just like the chump before me did. Fortunately I bought mine used (or pre-broke in ) on eBay and didn't get screwed out of hundreds $$$. And even resold it on eBay for a few bucks more. I too loved the look, but I'd rather be riding a functional bike than looking at a non-functional bike. Tomorrow I'll spend 7 ton8 hours in the saddle. That would be impossible for me with my former LaPita seat. I'd seriously bungee folded pillows to the frame before putting that POS back on.
A lot of guys will keep two seats, one bar hopping and another for road trips.
Bottom line: The seat needs some mass, to be of comfort to your a$$!
