Bike is runnin strong and holdin together nicely. Only change I plan for this summer is moving the plate and taillight to an axle mounted set up. You cant see my taillight due to the wheel and hugger fender. Gonna move it out back, vertical set up. Pics to follow.
Dude, I just spent my entire work day reading this thread... from page 1 to 53. WOW! It was better then watching the season finale of Game of Thrones last night!
Its a good thing Im a Government Employee and dont actually do anything, if I worked in the buisness/real world Id be f'd...
Awesome work man, LOVE your monster!!! You have some real incredible talent.
Lots of explainin what is what and how I did certain things. Most guys like to look it over and talk shop. No shortage of conversation that is for sure.
You can tell by some dudes reaction that they think I am a-hole, but what the hell am I gonna do....argue with em???? I sorta am!!! Ha Haaaaa!!!
Still havent cleared the tank or anything. Gettin a little rust here and there. Wipe it down with the oil rag and most comes off. I like the "ratty" look of it. Sorta adds to the theme. Bike is really reliable though. Runnin great, pullin strong, stoppin good, goin straight!!!
I guess that is why I havent been motivated to do much to it, other than ride.
Man, that bike is beast! I am slowly working on a monster of my own ideally combining diesel punk/bagger with muscle and this thread caught my eye and after going through this thing you have definitely inspired some ideals on my end! Great job man
I finally ordered a new plate mount. Should be here tuesday. Pics to follow.
Gonna go with an axle mounted plate / taillight set up. Sorta for looks, but mostly for function. Although I really like the plate and taillight on the back of the seat, it looks clean and sorta like it belongs there, you cant see my tail / brake light from the rear until you are right on top of me. I dont wanna get assholed, so I figured I better move the light.
Anyway, pics tuesday if it shows up in the mailbox!!
