Spent the morning on the monster. Went down to the center of Kent. Sort of a Sunday morning hang out for all types of bikes, Harely, choppers, BMWs, Super Motards, you name it. Pretty good time, nice ride.
Just waitin for my new plate mount!!!!
Oh, the good old days, too long, too ugly, is this thing gonna roll?????..............nah, Just Right!!!!!!!!
So I finally moved my plate. The axle mounted plate bracket is pretty cool. The way I had it mounted, under the seat, actually looked pretty good. It filled in the space there and covered up some nasty wires and crap. Only problem was you couldnt see my tail / brake light from the rear. I cant care less if the plate can be seen, I just dont want to get assholed when some old lady cant see the light.
Anyways, I am happy with it.

Nice and centered, pretty clean lookin. This pic is taken with the bike on a swinger stand. Really couldnt see the light until you were on top of me. My friends kept complaining when following me, "your gonna get hit"!!!
Havent had any issues with it though. Sometimes when I comin in to a left hander a little hot I think it will bottom out, never has though, thank godness!!!
I bought some patches for my jacket on ebay.........does that count as an update????
Maybe I will go out and film myself doin a burnout in the driveway. Wife is with the kids and her friends at the beach for a couple of days. Dad can drink beers, order patches and do burnouts!!!!
Oh yeah, I wasted money buying two aftermarket mirrors and they never tightened up or stayed in place worth a ****!!!!! I was in the cellar doing laundry and I spotted the two mirrors that were on there when I bought the bike. Put one on and took a spin.....thing is solid as a rock!!!!!
Not a great pic, but u get the idea, friggin thing is solid. That was soooo goddam aggravating when the mirror was constantly comin loose!!!!
This one one of the ugly ***, loose ones I bought.
I noticed that my V+H short shots have baffles in them. I see an allen head screw that I would image allows the baffles to be removed. If I pull out the baffles will that mess with carb?? Jetting required?? I dont really want to mess with the reliability of my motor, but hey, loud is cool!!! Any draw backs to this?? Input please.
