Hey man, really appreciate that. It was fun for sure.

My buddy calls me tonight and says he is considering buying a new bike, brand new. He went oiver the pros and cons and sounded really sincere. I was like "I just cant throw my leg over a stock bike bro, I dont roll like that!!"

Its friday night, its like -5 degrees, may as well drink some beers and clean up the piggy!! I went to true value and got a space heater on sale for 18 bucks!!!

No need for heaters here. It was almost 80* today and no wind at all. My bike is broke down so I think that is horrible torture! That is a way cool pic!

So I am planning to take the bike to a shop to have the wiring cleaned up. I still occasionally have the bike cut out at stop lights. Havent gotten stranded, it usually fires right up. It is just frustrating and dont like going for a ride if it is always in the back of my mind that I may break down. Also all the wiring looks pretty shitty. I think a lot of it can be eliminated and cleaned up. Get rid of the stock ignition switch and go to a toggle of some type.

So I want a shop to clean up all the wiring. Basically re-wire the bike. Head light, taillight, brake light, ignition, that is all I need. What do you guys think would be a "ball park" price quote?? And I am not talking about a Harley dealer. I have three small bike shops in the area that I will look at. They do custom work, Harely work, or any bike stuff.

It takes a lot of time. I prolly got 8 hours in mine from bars to battery and still need to do more. Most wont notice the work I did but some do. Hard to put a price on it. Heres a pic of the neck on mine. Camara is too low but I coverd the wires in fibraid loom.

I removed a bunch of plastic out of the neck area as well.

That looks good. Besides the looks issue though, I really want to find and eliminate the ground / short that is happening every so often.

At first I thought it was just the ground terminal on the battery was loose. That did cure it, but it started to pop up again even with the ground tight. The bike cut out one day and wouldnt start. My buddy and I wiggled every wire on the bike and it suddenly started. Rode two hours home with no issues. That is very frustrating!!!

I understand, I rewired my chopper myself. I found I had to put some fuses in otherwise I'd keep burning up wires, and it's no fun to sit on the side of the road while the rest of the crew runs to napa. It sucks thinking you'll get stranded.
