Finally got some saddle time saturday. Windy as hell and a bit cold, but wasnt too bad as long as the sun was out.


Gas started pissin out of my overflow tube. Tapped on the bowl and it stopped. Will pull the bowl this week and blow out the main jet (I think that is the main that the floats trip????) and make sure the float isnt hangin up. Shouldnt be a big deal.


Anyway, new tires, new rear wheel, chain lubed up, all set to ride.

 

Q tip up in the float needle seat to clean any varnish out of it. Glad your getting some saddle time in.

So I am about to go out in the garage and dye the brown leather seat black.


When I bought the seat the original plan was to dye it black. Not sure though. The brown sorta compliments the tarnish / rust / petina on the raw steel body parts.


Hmmmmm???? Opinions??

You could always rub a little black moly grease here and there, the seat looks too good for that bike.

 

I would spray paint it with a silver and stress it by sanding a bit
Black is too predictable. Unless it was black and then sprayed silver
