Looks better on the right side by blending in with the football (aircleaner). I have rear floor boards and saddle bag relocation kit. When I purchased, both left and right side tool boxwere listed as applicable to my bike.

The real reason that they only make a toolbox for the right side is that back in the hardtail days, that's how it was done. You needed a toolkit on the bike back then, and the way they were mounted on the hardtail frame, they got in the way of the rear chain. If you don't mind the box being upside down and mounted a bit farther out to clear the belt, there is no reason not to put one on the left.
