My 2006 Softail Maintenance Manual contains Electrical Schematics but the additional Electrical Manual also has more details on how things work as well as troubleshooting electrical issues.
I got all 3. Maintenace, Electrical and Parts. Saves a lot of time and avoids coming on the forum asking people who already paid for the manuals to look things up for me..
Is the manual all inclusive? Mechanical and electrical, or will I need to find elec schematics/wiring diagrams elsewhere? Thanks.
You will need the Electrical Diagnostic Manual 99498-12A and the Service Manual 99482-12A both for $60.00 MSRP each. Good to have if you like to working on your own bike.
The Softail Clymer manual I bought had a wiring diagram included on CD. I've heard on the forum that the Harley manual is better but for the things I was interested in, the Clymer had all I needed.
I've not seen the electrical manual but as mentioned the service manual has all electrical schematics. When I put new tail lights and a new plate light on I got all I needed from the schematics.
Thanks...... I have the shop manual but hadn't even heard of an Electrical one til seeing this post .... Sounds like the place to find the answers to the question I posted earlier today or at least help me get my Fatboy running good enough to go more then 300 miles at a time!
