I just put a new set of PM Hooligans on my 04 Heritage and the front fits perfect but the rear is offset to the left so much that it rubs the fender when i ride. The rear is a 4.25 with a Metz 160/60 18 and was told by PM they would fit with no problem. I noticed a while back that even my stock wheel was offset to the left also but didn't think much of it since i was told it was that way for balance reasons. Question is what can be done to fix this? The spacers are all where they need to be and the belt tracks perfect. I have seen where guys have had to machine their calipers down and get pulley spacers plus wheel spacersjust wondering if its my problem or PM's problem.
If the wheel isn't where it should be it shoud be obvious when looking at the belt. If it's very far off you won't be able to get the belt properly positioned in the pulley. At a minimum the belt won't be straight from front to back because when it gets to the pulley it will have to kink to fit in between the flanges. Find another Heritage from the same years (older than '07 I would think) and you should be able to meaure the location of the hub between the swing arm.

What makes you think your wheel is off center? The wheel should be centered with the backbone of the frame, and you would have to remove the rear fender, seat and dash to check...can't tell by the rear fender.

If the tire is rubbing then it may be the tire size. I run a 150/80/16 and it is super tight but does clear, so maybe the 160 is just to much.

Oh its off, i had the fender off to be painted. There is no doubt its at least a 1/4 inch off. Like i said the belt tracks fine and the caliper lines up fine. Even my stock tire from the dealership was off center. Didn't really matter until i went with aftermarket wheels.

Now you got me nervous. Was going to order a 160 for the rear of my 06 fatboy and a 4.25 rim. I hope everything works out for you. Keep us posted...

Thanks, i know its not a spacer issue. There are only 2 spacers and everthing else lines up perfectly and the tire would fit just fine if it was just centered. Even my stock wheel was off a bit but didn't matter until i went a little bigger. Even Performance Machine said there would be no issues.
Can you put smaller spacer on right side and then add to left and maybe put some spacers on the pulley bolts to keep it in line?
I can't because the spacer between my wheel and caliper has to be the length it is now or it would throw my caliper off. The only solution it seems would be to machine my caliper down, buy a pulley spacer and a longer spacer for my drive side.
